Ávila
is a town in the south of Castile, the capital of the province of the
same name, now part of the autonomous community of Castile and Léon.
Apart
from the extraordinary beauty of the walled capital, Ávila is
surrounded by towns of great scenic value. All of them are located on
the way to open areas such as the Sierra de la Paramera y Serrota, El
Pinar de Hoyo Casero or the Valle de Iruelas. The mountains and valleys
are still home to large herds of cattle. The towns of the area are impressive
for their monumental architecture.
